Bishop Stephen Berg's statement on the Aspen Acres Fire
“The state of Colorado is currently facing multiple wildfires that are impacting communities and natural landscapes. The Aspen Acres Fire burning in the area of Our Lady of Lourdes, Beulah, and St. Aloysius, Rye, the Ferris Fire is affecting the missions and communities of Dolores and Montezuma, while the Snyder Fire is impacting areas near the Grand Junction deanery. Additionally, the Gold Mountain Fire is burning near the missions in Silverton and Lake City. During this difficult time, it is important to keep all those affected by the fires, as well as the brave firefighters working tirelessly to control them, in your thoughts and prayers.
We thank God for the firefighters and civil agencies that have responded. Please keep all those affected by the fires and the firefighters in your prayers. This is to be a trying time for them, and we will be with them in our prayers and support.”
