SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY
Dear Friends in Christ:
Today the Church celebrates one of the dogmatic teachings of the Church, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. We celebrate the community of God, (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) (CCC 234). We celebrate the divine nature of God, i.e. Love. The unity between Father, Son and Holy Spirit is based on love. Trinity is a mystery beyond human understanding and comprehension.
In Trinity, we celebrate unity in diversity, by appropriation, God the Father created the world, God the Son redeemed the world and God the Holy Spirit sanctified the world. They are distinct, each retaining his identity in one God. The unity in the Trinity is not uniformity. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, distinct yet inseparable (CCC 254). In Triune God, there is collaboration, consultation and contentment.
The celebration of Most Holy Trinity shows us a God who is community, relationship, and love. We are called to reflect this unity and love in our own lives, especially in our relationships with our brothers and sisters.
How can we live out this Trinitarian love? We can live out the Trinitarian love by embracing forgiveness, compassion, and kindness, just as Jesus taught us. By being a source of comfort and strength to those around us, led by the Holy Spirit. And by acknowledging God's presence in our lives, thanking God for his guidance and provision.
As we celebrate the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity, let us strive to deepen our understanding of God's love and unity. May we be inspired to live out our faith with love, compassion, and kindness, reflecting the Trinity's perfect harmony in our own lives. Amen.
Happy Most Holy Trinity Sunday!!
