21st Sunday in Ordinary Time
One of the objectives of every employee is to be promoted in their work. The goal of others is to attain a supervisory or managerial position. Often when someone is promoted or gets a new position, the change may raise some questions. It might not be about the capabilities of the one who got promoted. Sometimes, the question is about the wisdom of the one who promoted the person. There are times people wonder why the boss picked that person for that position. Of course, only the person with the authority to promote can answer such questions.
Often in our faith journey, we wonder about the wisdom of God. He chose people to reveal His message or His mystery so that the truth about Him can be known and understood. This is what had happened to Simon in the Gospel for this 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time. God chose Simon to reveal the truth about Jesus Christ. No human being revealed to Simon that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of the living God. It is the heavenly Father’s will that Simon got the divine truth from Him. For this, Simon became Peter, the rock on which the church of Jesus has been built.
God reveals His love to us every day. He chose us to be blessed by such wonderful and saving grace. For this, we are appointed to be the channels of such love. The wisdom of God is unsurpassable so we should not question the blessings he gives us. We should be humble and grateful that we are chosen for such a purpose.
Be blessed by the divine purpose that God assigns to you each day.
